BIOGRAPHY

Sophie Wheeless is a multiform artist based in Chicago, Illinois. Her stories take shape as prose, theatrical productions, illustrations, and whatever may catch her eye next.

Born in Houston, she became a Chicago resident after the Texas heat proved too powerful. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Theatrical Directing, along with experiences in prose writing and analog artistic creation.

Her most recent directing credits include productions of No Exit (Jean-Paul Sartre), The Nether (Jennifer Haley), and Abeona (Gwen Docter). She also had an original play, Encephalon, published and produced during a New Playwrights festival.
